A solicitation document will not be issued, and quotations will not be requested. The Department of Critical Care Medicine serves as the clinical laboratory of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Clinical Center. The recommended service life for Mechanical ventilator replacement due to fleet reaching the end of useful life. Mechanical ventilator replacements require enhanced technology and newer technology to facilitate better assessment, monitoring, and diagnostic capabilities.
