513 ERHS/ 554 RHS request aBrand Name purchase of Troxler 4540 Asphalt and Soil Nuclear Density EGauge. The units will use this equipment for nuclear testing is an accurate method to determine the density of the soil and asphalt as it uses gamma and neutron radiation that has been proven to accurately calculate the depth and compaction of particles in the soil and asphalt. The Troxler 4540 EGauge combo is the requested equipment. This EGauge is an essential piece of equipment to efficiently conduct soils and asphalt analysis throughout an entire airfield. Other equipment that are fully nuclear that require a license to be established in order to operate the equipment. The 4540 EGauge combo, by Troxler, utilizes all testing methods at a low nuclear transmission that enables the machine to give accurate density readings and it's license exempt. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. All information is to be submitted at no cost to the Government. The solicitation will be issued as a RFQ under the solicitation number FA5025-24-QB007.
