Crescenz Veterans Affairs Medical Center Background: The Corporal Michael J. Crescenz Veterans Affairs Medical Center (CMJCVAMC) Environmental Management Services (EMS) located at 3900 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19104, has a new requirement for the purchase of two (2) new walk behind burnishers, to maintain floors on a consistent basis, enable EMS to scrub more square footage in a timely manner. The Environmental Management Service requires specific equipment to properly maintain the cleanliness within the facility. History of the Requirement: New equipment to replace broken outdated equipment, EMS has recently had to turn in multiple pieces of broken equipment that is past its life expectancy. EMS is down multiple pieces of equipment and maintaining floors is a major challenge. New equipment would ensure that the EMS will meet the needs of all floor projects on multiple shifts. Cutting down on fulltime employee (FTE) overtime costs for floor projects. Equipment Requirements: The CMJCVAMC has a requirement for two (2) new Kracher BDP 50-2000 or equal, six (6) new Tennant/Nobles ASC-15 All Surface Cleaning Machine or equal, two (2) New Tennant B10 Battery Rider Burnisher or equal, six (6) New Tennant/Nobles BR-2000-DC High-Speed 20 in Burnisher with Dust Control or equal, six (6) New Tennant CS5 micro-scrubber or equal, four (4) EH5 Canister Extractor or equal, six (6) New Tennant/Nobles i-mop XL plus / i-mop XXL Plus scrubbers or equal, four (4) New Tennant T2 Walk Behind Floor Scrubber or equal, three (3) T7Ride-On Floor Scrubber or equal, two (2) New Tennant T350 Stand-On Disk Floor Scrubber or equal, three (3) Tennant T500 Walk behind floor scrubber or equal. EMS department needs floor equipment that is more advanced and will make maintaining the floors throughout the hospital more efficient. The EMS department is in need of walk behind and ride on burnishers, and scrubbers that are quiet, user friendly, environmentally friendly and can adjust with changes in floor levels. EMS is in need of equipment that can effectively clean hard surface with no touch process. EMS has bought off brand products in the past and has had nothing but issues. EMS has used Kracher, Advance and Tennant machines and knows how to use and maintain the equipment. The machine has dust control, variable speeds, automatic pad control adjustment and on-board charging. Detailed Description of Requirement: The awarded contractor shall be responsible for delivering and setting up a quantity of two (2) Karcher BDP 50-2000 walk behind burnishers or equal, with easy operation and is maneuverable in multiple cleaning applications. The needs to have dust control, multiple speeds, on board charging and automatic pad control which regulates the height and angle of the pad and the forward and backward motion, just simply must direct the burnisher, to manage different areas of the hospital and not have missed spots. The equipment needs to be user friendly and quiet to ensure can be used in noise sensitive areas throughout the hospital and CLC. Delivery and setting up of six (6) New Tennant ASC-15 All Surface Cleaning Machine or equal, no touch process cleans, rinses, and dries surfaces and recovers the dirty water without the operator ever touching a surface. Needs to clean a variety of surfaces; sinks, shower stalls, toilets, urinals; to effectively clean locker rooms, restrooms, windows, and stairwells. Delivery and setting up of two (2) New Tennant B10 Battery Rider Burnisher or equal, that has a HEPA filter for controlling dust, ease of changing pads and enough power to complete job in a timely manner. Regulated controls that lock-in preferred settings and can deactivate operator adjustments for consistent cleaning. Delivery and setting up of six (6) New Tennant BR-2000-DC High-Speed 20 in Burnisher with Dust Control or equal. Need a burnisher that can polish and dust floors in a single step and reduce airborne particles, needs to contour over different surfaces and uneven thresholds. This scrubber can get into smaller places and has better control of dirt and germs since there is a tank for solution and a separate tank for recovery of dirty water.
