Roof Replacement - Detention Center - PRESOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY - Fire Management Bldg & Facilities Bldg - FORT APACHE AGENCY - Solicitation Number: 140A1121Q0023. This is a pre-solicitation notice only and does not constitute a solicitation. Accordingly, no response is due at this time, nor will any questions of a technical or contractual nature be answered. Specific instructions on submitting responses will be contained in solicitation documents. A date and time for a site visit will be specified in the solicitation. A firm fixed priced contract is anticipated. Requirement is 100% set-aside for small business. The applicable NAICS is 236220 and the business size standard is $36.5 M size standard. Contractor shall be registered in System for Award Management (SAM)under the appropriate NAICS code. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 36.204, Disclosure of Magnitude of Construction Project, the magnitude of this project is (B) between $100,000 and $250,000. In accordance with FAR 28.102 for construction contracts greater than $100,000 but not greater than $250,000, payment protection(bond) is required within 10 days of award. The location is Fort Apache Agency Facilities in Whiteriver, Arizona, 334813.89N 1095856.29W. The period of performance is for 60 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In compliance with FAR 22.403-1, Construction Wage Rate Requirements, the prevailing wage rates will apply. A solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation. The solicitation subsequent to this announcement may be canceled at any time. NOTE: This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract nor does it obligate the government to pay for any quote preparation costs. Complete solicitation and attachments will be posted on or about May 17th, 2021. SCOPE OF SERVICES: Contractor shall furnish sufficient technical, supervisory, and administrative personnel to ensure the expeditious execution and completion of the work. Contractor shall furnish all necessary services,supplies, materials, equipment, investigations, studies, travel, and all costs associated with this project. REMOVE; and dispose of metal roof gutters, roof-jacks vents and metal ridge caps. Disconnect flexible electrical conduit and HVAC gas lines. The existing metal Pro-panel roofing to stay in place. INSTALL; Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) flute filler between existing standing seam metal roofing system. Install 7/16 Oriented Strand Board (OSB) over existing roofing system mechanically fastened to metal roof deck and purlins per manufactory specifications. Rise/extend HVAC curbs with pressure treated wood. Overlay entire roof surface and up and over new extended HVAC curbs with 60 mil white Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) fully adhered to OSB cover board per manufactures uplift and warranty requirements. A fifteen (15) year No Dollar Limit (NDL) material and labor manufactures roof warranty. Install new 24 gauge metal gutter, downspout, and fascia in a standard kynar finish. Install flashing, drains, curbs, vent pipes as required for a watertight roof. Install new clad metal edge rake and eaves. Install a modified slip-sheet and additional wood blocking under conduits to get pipes off the roof. Contractor to insure all items are secure throughout project and permanently secured at completion of project.
