The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) intends to issue a Sole Source follow-on award to Cytek Biosciences (Cytek) for Preventative Maintenance Services. The Government intends to issue a sole source award in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other will satisfy the agency requirements for the above stated service. The manufacturer for the Aurora Flow Cytometry System is Cytek. Cytek is the only vendor who sells the Aurora flow cytometry system and has the proprietary license for the instrument. The cytometry system is a sole source product; manufactured, sold, and serviced exclusively in United States by Cytek. No other vendor can provide maintenance and technical support for this system due to the nature of the license. No other company makes an identical product. This will be a firm fixed price award.
