DRAFT RFP INTRO: Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) hereby requests industry review/feedback/comment/questions on the DRAFT Request for Proposal (RFP) for Detonating Cords. Please submit feedback ASAP, but NLT than 31 DEC 2021 via electronic mail to & . Feedback is requested utilizing Questions Template found as Attachment 0008. Items of interest include : Is the requirement clearly defined? If not how can it be improved? (cite specific RFP page/paragraph/drawing references for clarity) Is the USG missing industry practices that could improve the item/procurement? (e.g. packaging, shipping, testing) Are any requirements unattainable by industry? Are any companies interested in engaging with the USG via "Industry Day" type communications either as large virtual meeting or individually? Note: NOT a commitment just gauging interest in regard to demand. ORIGINAL POSTING: This Presolicitation notice is to inform potential offerors of the USG future requirements for the following Detonation Cord: DODICNSNNomenclature M4561375-01-180-9356CORD, DETONATING: 1,000 FOOT, TYPE 1, CLASS E M4561375-00-028-5168CORD, DETONATING, REINFORCED: 500 FOOT, TYPE 1, CLASS M M4581375-00-621-8373CORD, DETONATING, TYPE 1, CLASS E, INERT DUMMY The USG is drafting a formal RFPto solicit and evaluate using FAR part 12 for the award of a 5 year IDIQ type contract. USG may award multiple IDIQ contracts if in its best interest. (FAR 52.212-1( h ) Offerorsare encouraged tosubmit a proposal for ANY number of line items (i.e. not required to price all). Multiple proposals areencouraged under FAR 12 52.212-1 ( e ). The anticipated release date of the formal RFP is unknown,please follow this posting for future updates.
