SEE BELOW FOR UPDATE - SITE VISIT The government is seeking log removal services to support aircraft safety requirements, outlined in Department of the Air Force Instruction (DAFI) 91-212, on Selfridge ANGB, MI. Selfridge ANGB has log piles from previous tree cuttings that have become environmental and safety hazards. These piles not only create visual blight but have also become habitats for various local species, posing a Bird/Wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) concern near the airfield. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control necessary to remove all logs located within a designated area to support Selfridge Air National Guard Base (ANGB), Michigan, flying safety as defined in this Description of Service (DOS). UPDATE: This solicitation is being updated to include a Site Visit on 19 March at 1:00 PM EST. A Vetting Form has been added to the solicitation documents and must be filled in from row 26 down for each person coming on base. Multiple persons from the same company can be added to the same form but all visitors must be vetted. The vetting form is due back to me [This email address is being protected from spambots.
