GLOBUS is a classified Joint Program. Maintenance and operation is performed at the OCONUS site by personnel employed by the Joint partner. The missions are of a highly specialized nature, utilizing specialty type equipment and requiring highly trained personnel. This effort is for the procurement of two (2) custom motor/brake (P/N 53983-12-3500-01) assemblies for the GLOBUS X-Band Radar system. The Pedestal Control System (PCS) supports the rotational movement of the radar system. The PCS is composed of the servo controls and drive motor/brake assemblies. The AZ Motor/Brake Assembly consists of (brake pre-wiring, clamp collar and motor installation) which must be fully tested after assembly to guarantee it meets specification requirements. The motor/brake assembly consists of a motor (HP: 55, RPM 3600 with tach, high inertia) and a brake (125 ft-lb, 120 VAC, 50Hz, 256TC, VERT Above). The Brake Assembly Modification (P/N 53983-12-4600-01) is required prior to field installation for the GLOBUS X-Band Subsystem and is proprietary. The brake must be prepared electrically and mechanically to the specs in the Brake Assembly Modification to avoid catastrophic failure and damage. Quality testing and documentation is provided as part of the process. Pricing arrangement should be bid as Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and be submitted ON OR BEFORE 4 PM EST 17 April 2026. Proposal validity is 90 days. The proposal should include a statement that your certifications and representations contained within the SAM system are current and applicable. Provide any updates to your certifications and representations that might impact this order.
