This is a pre-solicitation for arm fire initiators. The Arm/Fire Initiators are used to initiate the Flotation Equipments Deployment System (FEDS) panel assemblies in the C-17 aircraft. The Arm/Fire Initiators can be activated in an emergency to initiate the explosive charge in the FEDS panels to cut through the aircraft's fuselage, creating hatches for life raft deployment and aircrew escape.
