Employees of USDAs Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Veterinary Services, Cattle Fever Tick Eradication Program (CFTEP) monitor the southern border of Texas, capturing stray livestock and maintaining a Permanent Quarantine Zone (PQZ) for control of the cattle fever tick from Mexico. CFTEP routinely transports livestock to holding pens for diagnostic testing, dipping, owner contact, and transportation to auction markets if needed. The PQZ encompasses seven county offices and over 600 miles along the southern border of Texas. Solicitation documents are posted below.
