See Solicitation for full details 1.0 Background/Introduction: The Purpose of request is to for replace two (2) non-functioning Air Conditioning (A/C) units at the NPS remote site located at Camp Roberts, CA. 2.0 Scope: These units are imperative due to excessive temperatures in the Spring, Summer and Fall months exceeding 100F. Thus, preventing heat stress environment. Two of the 6 A/C units need to be replaced. 3.0 Tasks: The contractor shall perform the following task(s) as follows: 3.1 Procurement and installation of two (2) new 3-ton Bard W36HY-B09 Wall-Mount Heat Pump packaged wallmount heat pump systems, 230V single phase, utilizing R-454B refrigerant. Each system will include factory-approved electric backup heat strips for supplemental heating during colder outdoor conditions. Unit replacements will be performed on Building 1 and Building 2. Building two has three wall-mounted heat pumps. This will be the furthest one to the right when looking at the back of the building. 3.2 Removal and disposal of existing equipment as needed, setting and securing new Bard units, reconnecting to existing incoming electrical power and existing low-voltage control wiring, pressure testing and commissioning refrigerant circuits, and verifying proper system operation. 3.3 The contractor shall install the new Bard units and compatible programmable thermostats in accordance with manufacturer specifications and all applicable codes. The contractor shall perform a full system startup and commissioning, including pressure testing, airflow/temperature verification, and demonstrating proper heating, cooling, and control functions to the on-site manager.
