This procurement is for a long-term Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for Baxter/Hill-Rom Beds and Stretchers Maintenance Services at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS) in accordance with FAR 12. The Government intends to procure these services through a single source (Baxter Supply and Distribution PR) in accordance with FAR 6.103-1(b), since they are currently the only authorized service representative for Baxter/Hill-Rom in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The Product Service Code (PSC) for this procurement is J065 (Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment Medical, Dental, and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies). Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA) does not apply to this procurement. The period of performance of this long-term contract shall be as follows: a. Base Period: November 15, 2026 November 14, 2027 b. Option Period 1: November 15, 2027 November 14, 2028 c. Option Period 2: November 15, 2028 November 14, 2029 d. Option Period 3: November 15, 2029 November 14, 2030 e. Option Period 4: November 15, 2030 November 14, 2031 Note: These option periods will be exercised at the Government s discretion. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
